Our Solution
We found enhancing the forced convection inside the pipe-lines is one of the best ways to improve thermal performance. We designed enhanced-geometry tubes (twisted and corrugated), which induce chaotic fluid mixing, leading to an increased heat transfer. We also performed a numerical simulation to find the best flow conditions. Our preliminary experiments were successfully conducted on a water bath heater.
